Project Architect
The project architect is responsible for daily progress and management of the design project. This may include design research and sketches, CAD work, client presentations, engineering coordination and construction administration. Supervision of one or more staff architects, depending on project size, may also be required. The project architect will work in direct collaboration with Studio Laan principals.
Minimum requirements for this position are:
- A professional architectural degree
- 5 years of professional experience
- Active participation in or completion of the NCARB Architectural Experience Program (AXP)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- General knowledge of Adobe Suite programs – InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Individual initiative, problem-solving ability and a can-do attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants and team members
- A keen interest in personal professional development and contribution to the advancement of junior staff
- Appreciation for clean, functional, modern design and sustainable architecture
Desirable qualities also include:
- Proficiency in three dimensional modeling & rendering software
- Advanced knowledge of BIM platform management, in particular Revit
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite programs – InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Licensed architect, LEED AP accreditation
